Hi! A few things from the last few weeks:
Here’s a detail of a painting I’m working on. The filtered light is working better than I thought. Now I gotta figure out the rest of the painting. . .
This makes me think of Zoey Frank (not on a skill level, but compositionally!) who often paints on paper and lets the image morph by adding more paper or taking paper away. Kinda wish I could do that in the above painting, but it’s on wood panel . . . 🤔
I’m rereading Lynda Barry’s What It Is before bed and it’s as wholehearted, humorous, and inspiring as I remember. Highly recommend. A good consolation that art is hard.
