Hey folks! As promised, here’s the info on the sale this weekend. We’ll have a little bit of everything and lots of free stuff, so if you’re in the neighborhood, please stop by!
Saturday and Sunday (9/9 & 9/10) from 8AM to 1PM
I spent the weekend busily packing orders- thank you all for that!! And thanks to my neighbor for all the boxes!
I keep coming across prints and fabrics to add to the shop. Gotta admit I thought I was a wee bit more organized! This “March” print was hiding in yet another Tupperware. Curse you bottomless Tupperware!
I’m dying to make some artwork lately. But my brain has been filled with moving us out of this house! I no doubt will miss my large studio space, yet I’m also trying to embrace this change and get excited about a new path for artmaking that will fit the two-bedroom apartment mode.
Two artists I’m looking to for inspiration on Instagram are @mollylemonart and @_sophieelm_
Both are printmakers working in a smaller format.
Molly Lemon works in wood engraving and what I love about her work is how she prints en plein air! You have to check out this video of her process.
Sophie Elm works in linocuts. She’s been carving a tiny block as a daily practice. I also love her seed packet prints.
I came across my set of carving tools the other day. . . we shall see. . .
In garden news, the wasps and spiders are flourishing. My brother gave me the tickseed on the left and it supports a gaggle of pollinators. The ‘bright lights’ orange cosmos have been working up a storm, and the zinnia seeds I threw out in between are blooming.
I hope you’re feeling the change of season.
Talk soon, friends!
